Meter Installation Price Increase

At the July 12, 2022 meeting of the Board of Directors of West Vernon Parish Waterworks District, the board unanimously voted to increase the cost of all new ¾” meter installations. The increase is due to the increased costs of parts and materials used in the installation of new water meters which has made it necessary to adjust the price. After research and deliberation a motion was made to increase the price to $950 from $700.
This cost increase will go into effect immediately.
If a road bore is required for a meter installation, the cost has been increased by our sub-contractor from $500 to $730, as charged to the water district by the contractor.
